Public website
The current public information and download pages do not set advertising or analytics cookies and do not include third-party advertising pixels. Fonts are served from this website. Lights Out does not record your connection IP address in its application logs, analytics or player records. Requests still disclose it to the hosting service, and Railway’s HTTP request logs include source IP addresses. Absence of cookies does not mean absence of personal-data processing. See the Privacy Policy for the distinction between application records and provider logs.
Administrator sign-in
The administrator area uses an essential cookie named hubadmin to maintain an authorized sign-in. It is limited to the administrator path, marked Secure, HttpOnly and SameSite=Lax, and defaults to eight hours unless the server configuration changes. Logging out clears it. Browser controls can delete or block it, but blocking it prevents that sign-in from working.
Steam and external services
Steam sign-in takes you to Valve’s service, which may set its own cookies and has its own privacy practices. Following an external link is different from this website embedding that service. See Steam’s Privacy Policy.
Windows app storage
The app saves preferences, game-path configuration, downloaded files and a sign-in token locally. Player tokens currently expire after 90 days on the server, with the period refreshed when the account is checked. Signing out revokes the current token. Clearing local files or uninstalling does not by itself delete rankings, reports or other server records; see Privacy for requests.
Tracking choices
We do not currently use personal information for targeted advertising or sale. The public site does not vary its behavior in response to the legacy Do Not Track signal. There is no optional website tracking to turn on through a consent banner in the current implementation.
